The Story.....

Eliot and Gillian Reynolds are partners in every way and musically you can't gel much better than these two. Eliot found Gillian comparing a Karaoke show in Sydney and was mesmerised by her vocals, he yelled out “sing us an original,” she whispered into her microphone “write me one.” And as they say the rest was history. Eliot and Gillian have since written and recorded award winning originals, but still get a lot of enjoyment playing covers and showing tribute to the bands they love!! They had been performing mostly as an acoustic duo (with no midi or backing tracks) but have had to make some changes as the clubs call for duo's who have a “full band sound”. RaggedyAn now do, and the audiences are lovin' it! Gillian plays percussion and gives a big performance both in stage presence and vocally, and Eliot is a phenomenal guitarist, strong vocalist and has that "star" presence. El and Gill like all styles of music from Jazz to Hard Rock and perform anything from “Summertime” to “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”.

About the performers

Gillian has a very powerful and extensive vocal range, she also has a talent for mimicking people, such as Stevie Nicks, Tina Turner and Chrissie Amphlette, just to name a few. Gillian has sung in and out of bands and compared numerous Karaoke shows, done film, video and t.v voice over work (Peace Love and Mung Beans!) and some acting, and just loves to perform. Her influences include Robert Plant, Janice Joplin, Billie Holiday, Tim Curry, Madonna, Anastacia, Nora Jones and so many more.

Eliot is an extraordinary guitarist, songwriter and programmer. He is accredited with the AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board), is an award winning writer full member of APRA and has played in numerous bands both big and small, has songs published by Warner Chapel and loves playing and listening to all styles of music. His favourite guitarists are Brian May (Queen) and Trevor Rabin/Steve Howe (Yes) and Ace Frehley (Kiss).

Previous Gigs

The greatest achievement and biggest thrill as a duo was supporting The Farris Brothers (INXS), Noise Works and Johnny Diesel (Mark Lizott) acoustically at the Manly Wharf Hotel in February 2004 for the “Sophie and Molly Charity Event.” The greatest moment (apart from helping two little girls), was having Tim Farris and Steve Balbi say they loved our performance and they'd be interested in helping produce our original works in the future. We have played numerous weddings and corporate gigs, cafes/restaurants, clubs and venues in the city, Blue Mountains and coastal regions. We only started this duo in February 2004 so we are very pleased with our performances and most of all the audience's reaction. We look forward to performing at your venue or party in the near future.
